About Us
The Running Man Resort was formed in late 2002 after its founder, Yaphet Kotto and his wife Tessie, discovered that their seaside hideaway was becoming ever increasingly popular. Starting from his home in Baltimore, Maryland where he lived while filming the NBC series Homicide, life on the street. Yaphet decided to build a small karaoke spot on the beach. He supplied the hideaway with soft drinks and beer; the people came from the local shops, the town, and community clubs to sing on the beach. Demand soon outstripped supply and the karaoke spot became a bar and grill, then a small hotel and finally a resort with people coming from all over the world to spend time at the Running Man
Now, the resort is just a little too small to accommodate the demand and
The Kotto's are in the process of rebuilding and possibly relocating. The resort uses the Internet for 90% of their incoming bookings, making the Running Man Resort a truly online company.

The Running Man Resort has decided to Support development of independent filmmakers, screenwriters, playwrights, composers and other film and theater artists.. Mr Kotto was one of the foundweres of the Watts Writers workshop in Los Angeles along with author Budd Schulberg and he is about to repeat the same kind of workshop at the Running Man,
